Volkswagen's Carbon Fund saves 170,000 tonnes of CO2

2020 The Volkswagen Group has launched its own Carbon Fund. The CO2 fund, which is endowed with €25 million ($27.5 million) annually, is available to all twelve Group brands. They use it to finance their own climate protection projects at their locations worldwide.

Ford has approved the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) in its Transit vans. This renewable diesel fuel is based on waste oils, including used cooking oil that can be sourced from restaurants and takeaways – and even kitchens at home.
